A netti-pot or nose bidet is a device used to clean the sinus cavities. A netti-pot can come in many differnet shapes and is usually filled with a warm saline (salt-water) solution. The spout is inserted into one nostril and tipped upwards, allowing the solution to run in the one nostril, through your sinus cavities and come out the other nostril containing any infected mucus. Some people find that using the netti-pot makes them feel as if they have accidentally inhaled water while swimming. |
